Happy New Year!

Well, here we are in the last day of the year so I’d like to wish you a Happy New Year when it comes to you all! !

Happy New Year

It’s amazing just how fast a new year comes around, right?

Of course, it’s traditional at this time of year to ponder the last 12 months and perhaps to wish that the next year would be better. For myself, I have a health & fitness business in addition to my marketing and coaching activities and the New Year rush is ALWAYS a Happy New Year for me!

Things might not have worked out just the way you had wanted in 2015 but instead of brooding, be positive and work out what you need to do in 2016 to make a difference.

Take some of that traditional New Year energy and use it to make a positive change.

One of the most common reasons for my new clients to have struggled in the past is INACTION.Happy New Year So for a happy New Year, my advice to you in 2016 is to do what you say you are going to do.

Make a promise in 2016 that you are going to deliver on what you set out to do this year just ending.

Let go of the habits that let you down in 2015 and stop blaming yourself for your lack of success. Instead, focus on a more positive direction and don’t stop until you get to where you want to be!

I hope that you found that useful and please get in touch if you need any further help.

And remember – the guys at Traffic Authority are the very best at getting people like you to take action and find success so don’t waste a moment of the coming year – jump in and drive to the line.

Have a great year!

Business Coach? What Type Is Right For You?

What Type Of Business Coach Is Right For YOU?

business coach

It’s THAT Time of Year again, right?

It’s around about now that I get an upsurge in prospective clients, all looking for a business coach to kick-start their business goals and, this New Year, help them finally achieve the levels of success that they have dreamt of.

And I am proof that business coaching works. I have a coach. My coach has a coach too and even the highest earning, most successful people in the world will tell you that coaching works.

But there are many differing styles of business coaching which you should be aware as you search for a business coach.
It helps a lot to have some insight into your own personality to know what types of coaching will help you get to where you want to be.
The wrong type of coaching may actually harm your progress rather than push you forward.

Innovator

Coaches who are innovators have a system already set up that they want to use.
They are usually experts in helping businesses just like yours move forward.
They already know exactly what you need to do to get where you want to go because they’ve worked with your business type and industry before and they’ve worked out all the kinks.
But they’ll want you to do as you’re told, without much compromise.
There’s nothing wrong with that, as long as you have the right personality to trust your business coach to lead you to the place you want to be.

Trainer

Some coaches are teachers at heart and love to teach you how to run your business efficiently and solve the problems you have identified.
They may want to try different methods throughout the coaching process which gives you a chance to choose your direction more than some of the other coaching methods.
A trainer is going to teach you how to be successful, taking into consideration your own skill level and experience.

Partner

This type of coach sees themselves as a partner in your business and will work alongside you in a consensus-type manner.
You’ll thrash out the various issues you have and if they know their stuff they’ll use the right questions to direct you toward solutions you essentially develop yourself.
They’ll offer a lot of feedback, accountability and encouragement.

Leader

Often a trailblazer on their own, they’ve already done what you want to do and they know exactly how you need to do it to duplicate their success.
They’ll expect you to follow them and do it just the way they did it.
Of course, they’ve already made all the mistakes, so you’ll only do what worked for them, what made them successful. This can be an issue in the world of online business, however, where tactics can become outdated and useless very quickly.
They are going to give high accountability and check in a lot to ensure that you followed through.

Authoritarian

A lot like the leader, but more direct, the authoritarian business coach has their way of doing things and if you don’t do it their way, you’ll be asked to leave. ‘My way, or the Highway…’
They want you to be open minded to their authority over your business choices in terms of the coaching contract.
For instance, they may give you homework to do and if it’s not done at the time of your meeting, your meeting will be cancelled (but not always your bill…).
This works great for business owners who aren’t self-motivated and need that added incentive to get things done.

Motivator

This is often considered the cheerleader of the business coaching profession.
This type of coach can be a good match with someone who is self-motivated and already has a good idea of what they want to do (and even how to do it), but needs someone to push them forward and tell them they can do it, and should do it.

Experimental

Some coaches like to feel out their client, and based on the client’s goals they’ll experiment with different ways to reach the goal based on the personality of the client rather than their own personality.
This can work well for people who are sometimes self-motivated, but other times need someone to be more authoritative once a decision has been made about how something will work.

Emotional

There are coaches who are very good at feeling out your emotional level and working with and using that connection to get you to move through psychological barriers that have stopped you in the past.
They are great at building a relationship with you, and they use that emotional connection so that you won’t want to disappoint them and you’ll do the work that needs to be done to achieve success. Don’t worry; they care about you too – it’s not a game!
It’s just how their mind and personality works.

No one coaching style is right for everyone, and the honest truth is most of the time each business coach demonstrates one or several of these coaching styles, depending on the feedback from the clients.

I will always vary my style of coaching based on what the clients tells me they want and what I feel will benefit them the most.

But that’s why it’s extremely important to understand what you need your coach to do for you and what type of coaching you will respond best to. My advice is to use any interviewing or free consultation process to choose the right coach for you.

I still have a few slots available for my 6 week one-to-one coaching sessions and I have massively discounted them for readers of my blog. You can grab your guaranteed results seat HERE.
